In Harmony with God: The Key to Joy and Love Every Day

“He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will bring you quietness with His love. He will delight in you with shouts of joy.”

— Zephaniah 3:17

I love singing and my kids love singing with me! We always have music on, whether it be in our home or car. Wherever we are, there is music! When you sing, you need to hear the tune so that you know how to sing the correct notes. When you dance, you need to hear the music to stay on the correct beat. If you don't know what beat to start on, you will be off key or stepping on toes, and it will not sound pretty or look good at all.

In Christ, we must be in tune with His spirit. And the only way to do that is to stay in the Word, talk to Him, and listen for His voice. If we stray too far away, we become out of tune and out of sync with God, and as you begin to feel it, soon people begin to see it. Being out of sync will come out in our thoughts, words, and actions. When we get to this place, it is easy to think that God has left us because we cannot hear His voice or listen to Him calling us back. God is for you, not against you. His plans are not to harm you but to give you a prosperous future (Jer. 29:11). His plans are to give you His very self.

We must check in continuously throughout our day and make sure that we are in tune with God and what His Word tells us. Just because we can't hear Him doesn't mean that He isn't near. He may keep you in the same place, but if you stay in sync with Christ, you will NOT remain the same.

Listen to what is says in Zephaniah 3:17: "Yahweh your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will bring you quietness with His love. He will delight in you with shouts of joy." He rejoices over YOU, friends! How great is that? Stick with it, my friends, your breakthrough is coming!

How do you stay in tune with your Heavenly Father?

Perspectives into Practice:

I challenge you today to make a conscious effort to check yourself throughout the day to make sure that you are in alignment with God. The daily grind can get you down but if you keep in tune with what is right, then you set yourself up for a great day!
